FAQ
We're a serious HL2RP server based upon the Helix framework developed by dave and filterfeeder, intending to replicate the dystopian and oppressive ambience of the base game.
If you have any questions that haven't already been answered bring them up in the Discord channel #general-discussion; read through our about page and rules first.
What are the controls?
Citizens can use the F1 key to view their info, including which housing block they reside in, and other stats about their general health.
They may also use the F3 key for contextual actions - i.e. recognizing yourself to others, changing idle stance.
Pressing E on another character will bring up an action menu.
Civil Protection controls and keybinds are listed on the respective wiki page.
What do I do?
All we ask is that you try to engage yourself in roleplaying a believable citizen character and enjoy the experience. Roleplay an asshole who steals rations off of vulnerable people, or a saint who dedicates their meagre earnings to others. We don't mind, as long as you're following our rules and giving people decent player interactions.
A lot of features and mechanics are made to be found and learned in-character, you should try new paths and branches to uncover these mechanics and features. If you don't try to explore and engage yourself in the environment, you only make yourself feel incapable of doing anything.
Where's the workshop content?
Workshop content can be found here. Make sure your content is up to date to avoid any errors.
Is there a discord?
Our discord can be found here. Please use common sense when communicating in the discord and use channels appropriately.
How do I appeal a ban?
For violations of the Server Rules, you can appeal through Discord directly to rico#5130. There is no format currently for ban appeals, it's left to the discretion of the appealer to write how much they think is necessary to communicate their appeal of their ban. All bans are permanent and some cannot be appealable based on how serious the action that led to the ban was.
